Watermelon Sangria

 

Peel and roughly chop 400g watermelon. Put in a blender, along with the juice of 3 limes and whizz until smooth.

Pass through a fine mesh and pour into a large jug or punch bowl along with 100ml vodka and 1 bottle of rosé. Stir in sugar syrup* to taste.

Serve over ice.

Note: To make a watermelon cooler (less alcoholic and more refreshing) increase the quantity of watermelon to 800g, and adjust the sugar syrup to taste.

* Mix together 100g sugar with 100ml water in a small saucepan and dissolve the sugar over a low heat, stirring it well. Cool.
